Blue Note Records artist Chihiro Yamanaka makes her debut at San Jose Jazz Summer Fest with her trio featuring Yoshi Waki and Eric Garland. Umpqua Bank Stage at the San Jose Stage Co. $35 for all-day all-stages festival pass. $90 for 3-day (August 7-9) all-stages festival pass. Pianist/composer Chihiro celebrates the release of her new Blue Note CD, "Syncopation Hazard." Chihiro reinvents everything from Brubeck to Beethoven to the Beatles and swings hard with her stunning originals.
