Conceived out of Lovano and Douglas’s tenure with the SFJAZZ Collective, the quintet soon evolved into a vehicle for the original compositions of its talented members. Together and separately, Lovano and Douglas have won critical-acclaim for their creativity and adaptability over a broad range of musical styles and groundbreaking projects.
