Never mind that he’s entirely self-taught; percussion powerhouse Dennis Chambers began working professionally at age six and has since earned first-call status among the most highly-regarded names in jazz, funk and rock-n-roll. Mike Stern, John Scofield, Carlos Santana, Parliament/Funkadelic, Maceo Parker and John McLaughlin are but a few of the names who’ve been fortunate enough to enlist him, and he’s more recently become a headliner in his own right. This appearance revisits the work of Graffiti, a perfect blend of funk, jazz, nu-jazz, and Latin with guitarist U-Nam, keyboardist Haakon Graf and bassist Gary Grainger.
