For this special Jazz Showcase show John Worley will introduce his brand new band, the Mo-Chi Quartet, to San Jose audiences for the first time. The Mo-Chi Quartet is pianist Murray Low, bassist Ken Okada, drummer Kevin Higuchi and John on trumpet, flugelhorn and post horn.

A San Francisco native, John Worley has been a mainstay in the Bay Area music scene since 1971. John's numerous credits include Pete Escovedo, Wayne Wallace, Jon Jang, Louie Bellson, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Stanley Clarke, Don Byron, Wayne Shorter, and a host of others. He has played on over 50 recordings of various artists, appeared in two movies, "Dying Young" and "The Game". John's CD "WorlView" featured Bay Area talents Wayne Wallace, Kristen Strom, Jesus Diaz, French guitarist Sebastien Lanson and many others....
