Spontaneous and joyful, drummer Matt Wilson’s projects are endlessly inventive and imaginative. His latest band explores the work of Carl Sandberg, celebrating the poet’s distinctively American themes through the brilliant spoken word and vocal improvisations of pianist Dawn Clement, backed up by a tremendously adventurous band.

The performance of Matt Wilson’s Honey & Salt, presented in collaboration with The Myrna Loy/Helena Presents and The Jazz Bakery Performance Space, is supported by Presenter Consortium for Jazz, a program of Chamber Music America funded through the generosity of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
